Double doubles delight for Hingis

Double doubles delight for Hingis

Just a day after ending a 17-year wait for a title at Wimbledon, Martina Hingis celebrated more success at SW19 by winning the mixed doubles alongside veteran Leander Paes.

Hingis, the singles champion in 1997, won the women's doubles alongside partner Sania Mirza on Saturday.

And the Swiss raced to more glory on Centre Court on Sunday, as she and Paes - seeded seventh - completed a 6-1 6-1 victory in just 40 minutes against Alexander Peya and Timea Babos.

Before her triumphs, Hingis last won the women's doubles in 1998, but at the age of 34 she can reflect on a fine fortnight at the All England Club.
